Tennis Program in the Pines
Tennis Excitement at Torreon.
Set amidst the towering pines adjacent to the Tower golf course is Torreon’s Tennis Center. An exhilarating sport in any environment, tennis in the pines is about as relaxing as it gets.
Torreon’s Tennis Program starts in April and offers group and private lessons and special clinics for adults and juniors. A robust weekly schedule through mid-November allows tennis lovers the opportunity to sharpen their game, participate in friendly Club competition and just have fun.
Mike Wilkinson, a Show Low resident and former world ranked tennis professional heads up the program for Torreon members. He has formerly directed programs at the Tempe Racquet Club, the Arizona Country Club and the Boulders Resort for a combined total of over thirty years experience.
Mike's background of playing and coaching world class players, gives his students a special opportunity to experience an in-depth approach to learning and playing the game. But more importantly, he guarantees tennis will bring fun and enjoyment to your life!
The two hard courts are available to all Torreon Members and their guests seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. We have a peg system for court reservations. Please reserve one hour for singles and one and one half hours for doubles when others are waiting to play.
