1st annual Torreon Chili Cook-off

Torreon Hosted the 1st Annual Chili Cook-off on a Splendid October weekend. 

"Kids" of all    ages enjoyed the day. Joe, Kathy and Trudy caught a ride in the Carriage, provided by the Torreon Equestrian Center, which was a delight all afternoon.

The Chili was a treat, providing lots of variety for the eager tasters.

More than 40 pumpkins were carved and decorated throughout the afternoon.

The Art of Music provided a great atmosphere to visit and enjoy the perfect Fall weather.

Contestants Dave, Margie and Julie and their fan club eagerly awaited the outcome of the voting for "Best Chili."

While others enjoyed the music and the "Beer-tasting" and each other's company...

The White Mountain Women's Club Charities were the beneficiaries of the tasting, and the Winners were: 1st place, Red Chili: Margie Shubin, First place All Categories, Sara Gregory, nad Frist Place Green Chili, Denise Ford.
